DAR ES SALAAM: The Tanzania Private Sector Foundation (TPSF), through its entrepreneurship project “IMPLEMENTED,” has provided specialized training to 83 entrepreneurs aimed at enhancing their business capacity and fostering a positive entrepreneurial mindset.
The project, funded by the African Development Bank (AfDB), commenced in 2021 and is scheduled to conclude in 2025.
Speaking at the certificate awarding ceremony in Dar es Salaam, TPSF’s Head of Projects Department, Mr Gasper Mdee, highlighted the initiative’s phased approach.
The first phase involved identifying Tanzanian small businesses, during which more than 230 companies were engaged.

Following discussions, 120 small enterprises were selected for further development.
“The primary objective of this project is to empower Tanzanian companies, enabling them to grow and thrive by leveraging this system,” he stated.
On his part, Mr Benedict Lema, the training facilitator, emphasized that the program is designed to help entrepreneurs shift their mindset from traditional practices to innovative approaches, aligning with the project’s goal of cultivating a forward-thinking workforce.
Entrepreneurs Dr. Amani Makirikita and Angela Charles, who participated in the training, noted that the program had transformed their understanding of essential.
